Wrestling fans, get your popcorn ready, because one of the most prolific wrestlers is making a comeback to the main stage. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson announced via his Instagram (Dec. 28) that he will be a part of WrestleMania 32 next April in Arlington, Texas at AT&T Stadium.
The Rock posted a video to his personal profile with a lengthy caption that read:
“IT’S OFFICIAL: People’s Champ is coming home to do 3 things with THE PEOPLE: Set an ALL-TIME attendance record, ELECTRIFY Dallas like never before & make all time #WRESTLEMANIA history. And we have FUN.”
Johnson then went on to thank the WWE by saying, “Ok that’s four things but you know what the hell The Rock’s saying’.. ?. THANK YOU #WWEUniverse! It’s always an honor coming home and I wouldn’t miss it for the world. #PeoplesChamp4L #MakingElectrifyingHistory #SmackethLaidDownOnThyCandyAsses ???”
Although the former wrestler now focuses the majority of his time starring in box office films, The Rock still manages to make a come back to the wrestling ring. Last year, he appeared at WrestleMania 31 (in San Jose) for a brief surprise guest appearance with Ronda Rousey.
Speculations have run wild since he announced the great news: from him appearing as a special guest referee to a possible rematch between him and Triple H! As far as Black Sheep is aware, The Rock is currently not scheduled to wrestle in a match at ‘Mania 32.
