While interviewing with The Daily Mail, the world’s first supermodel, Janice Dickinson, 61, revealed to the world that she was diagnosed with breast cancer two weeks ago. During an annual breast examination, a pea sized lump, later recognized as ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), was found in her breast. It is not life threatening at this stage, but could become more severe over time.
April 6 will be the first of many appearances Dickinson will make on the daytime television show, “The Doctors,” in order to share her journey through treatments along the way. Anorexia, Bulimia and Alcoholism are among her battles conquered in the past, a true soldier.
She continued her sit down interview with words of positivity and a taste of that feisty attitude America knows and loves: “I am not gonna let that define me, the fear. I’m going to get through this, I’ll be just fine kiddo.”
Our prayers go out up for Ms. Janice Dickson and her family.
