Currently referred to as Pablo, Kanye West has had hip hop in a frenzy lately with his continuation of G.O.O.D Music Fridays. After the release of “Champions (Round and Round)” featuring Desiigner, Quavo, 2 Chainz, Big Sean, and “fresh out the feds” Gucci Mane, there’s been an heightened sense of anticipation for the rumored sequel, Cruel Winter.
To add more fuel to the fire, West announced that he’d be having a pop up show after his performance at the Governor’s Ball last night (June 5) at Randall Island Park in New York. Unfortunately, the event was cancelled due to inclement weather; however, implied via Twitter, Yeezy’s show was still a go.
Webster Hall, which normally holds about 1,500 people, was swarmed with 3-4 thousand fans last night according to Manhattan officials. The youth stood on top of dumpsters, cars, you name it, while waiting for West to arrive. Before the show was expected to start, the official Webster Hall Twitter account tweeted that there would be no concert, and for everyone to please get home safety.
Luckily for those contrary to the message, ‘Ye appeared about 15 minutes post show time shaking hands and greeting fans from a sun roof. For obvious safety and security reasons, there was no concert proceeding.
It’s crazy how one man can have all that power!
