With Snapchat’s rapid rise to social media stardom, how do you keep pace with the popular photo/video sharing app? If your Instagram, you copy one of Snapchat’s most popular features: stories. Instagram’s new “Stories” feature allows you to post as many photos and videos as you’d like in a slideshow format. It also will disappear in 24 hours.
At the top of your Instagram feed, you’ll find stories from friends and popular accounts. Similar to its social media counterpart, once you tap into one, you can view videos and photos of the people you follow. You won’t be able to leave public comments or like anything you see in a story, but you can still send a private message to the user.
The photo-sharing app also added a feature that lets you hide stories from specific followers. Instagram will be rolling out the stories feature on iOS and Android over the next few weeks.
