With her eighth album on the way, Rihanna has given the world another taste of her new project, while also celebrating the 4/20 holiday. In typical stoner fashion, however, she is a day late. On the interlude “James Joint,” the Bajan pop star sings about her affinity for marijuana.
“I’d rather be smoking weed, whenever we breathe. Every time you kiss me, don’t say that you miss me….” she sings on the one minute and twelve seconds length song.
Rih told V Magazine that she is “in love with [her] interludes,” and that “James Joint is constantly on repeat.” She has also described her new album as both “soulful and aggressive.”
Her album is slated to be released sometime this year and is being executive produced by Kanye West. “James Joint” is the fourth release from the album after ‘FourFiveSeconds,’ ‘Bitch Better Have My Money,’ and ‘American Oxygen.’
