Mac Miller, also known by his producer alias Larry Fisherman, surprised his fans last night (Dec. 29) when he released a 12 instrumental tape called Run On Sentences Volume 2 via his SoundCloud.

This project is a follow-up to his Run On Sentences Volume 1, which he released in March 2013. The Pittsburgh native also released a new song — with lyrics — titled “Smile.” Within this track, Miller attempts his best rock impression, as he harmonizes over the chord-driven production. He also tweeted out to his fans that “this song is special to me.”

Miller released GO:OD AM in September, and later announced a headlining tour with Tory Lanez to accompany the project. The album included features from Chief Keef, Ab-Soul and Lil B. Additional production were contributed from Tyler, the Creator and Vinylz.

You can download Larry Fisherman’s Run On Sentences Volume 2 via audiomack or stream it below.

Let’s hope that this was just a trial record for the 23-year old artist, and going forward he chooses to steer clear away from alternative (less alternative, more rap). Also, be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel so you can check out his live performance in Houston.
