Go Yayo is easily one of the most buzzing artists in the state, and continues to ride that wave, dropping his new track “Where Were You.”
Yayo initially got the people’s attention by releasing his diss track toward another Fort Worth artist titled “Boom.” The emerging rapper has already managed to attract the attention of a few celebrities and other established media platforms in a matter of months.
In the track, the DFW native switches up his flow from his usual trap-centric style, to a more melodic tempo. Drum Dummy handles the production on the song, as Yayo asks “Where Were You?” to one of his previous flings.
“Where were you when I was broke / Where were you when I was down on my luck, couldn’t score / Where were you when I was poor / Where were you when I was hustling in front of the store”
