Kanye West stated that he “birthed” Kid Cudi just last week, and now, it looks like the “Famous” rapper is ready to put their differences behind him.
Yesterday, Sept. 20, while in Houston at the Toyota Center for his Saint Pablo tour, West took a moment out of his set to express a message of peace and admiration. “I just wanted to take time out to say Kid Cudi is my brother,” he said, following that by saying “he’s the most influential artist of the past 10 years, and I hope he’s doing well.”
In case you missed the initial tweets that led to the feud last week, here’s the basic breakdown. Taking to social media to vent to his fans (and haters), Cudi sent out a few controversial comments calling out the majority of people’s favorite rappers for not even writing their own lyrics. “Everyone thinks they’re soooo great. Talkin top 5 and be having 30 people write songs for them,” he said before adding, “My tweets apply to who they apply. ‘Ye, Drake, whoever. These n–as dont give a f-ck about me. And they aint f–kin with me.”
