Earlier this month, Meek Mill was sentenced to a 2-4 years prison sentence after a judge ruled that he violated probation.

Drake is the latest megastar to voice his support for the Philadelphia rapper. During his Melbourne, Australia concert, Drake noticed a fan in a Free Meek Mill t-shirt, which lead him to say, “Free Meek Mill. You right.”

In 2015, Meek and Drake entered an intensive beef after the Philadelphia rapper accused Drake of using a ghostwriter for their collaborative track “R.I.C.O.,” which appeared on Meek’s 2015 album, Dreams Worth More Than Money. The accusation resulted in a diss track battle between the two, launching fan favorites from Drake like “Charged Up” and “Back to Back.”

Supporters of Meek Mill have united since his imprisonment. About 400,000 people have signed a petition to “ask for the Pennsylvania Board of Pardons to grant relief in his sentence.” Jay-Z has called the sentence “unjust and heavy-handed”; he has also wrote a New York Times op-ed about the punishment.
