From the looks of it, Yung Pinch doesn’t plan on ending his #4EVERFRIDAY series anytime soon. The rapper returns for the fifth consecutive Friday with a new cut titled “1997.”
Pinch draws inspiration from his birth year in “1997.” He also represents Huntington Beach, Calif. to the fullest, as he shows love for his hometown throughout the record. “Blunt town, beach boy, who you tryna play / I can’t lose, gotta be successful, I’ma find a way (find a way) / I can’t go back now / Putting on for my city, I’ma hold that down (hold that down),” Pinch croons.
“1997” follows last week’s melodic “Big Checks” featuring fellow Cali-based emcee YG. So far, the SoCal native has worked with Blackbear, P-Lo, Charlie Handsome, Richie Souf, Matics, and Wheezy on the ongoing series.
There’s no telling how much longer Pinch will consistently release new music, as the 20-year-old artist will start his headlining All 4 The Love tour soon, which commences in Austin on Feb.15th. Once he completes it, Pinch will travel West to open for G-Eazy for the European leg of his When It’s Dark Out tour in May.
